The Opportunity
Monash Engineering is seeking academic staff in Transport, Structural and Geomechanics.

Outstanding academics working in areas associated with Civil Engineering are invited to join an exciting team of world class researchers at Monash University.

Expertise or experience in any of the following areas are particularly sought:

• Extremely loaded structures (blast, impact, fire)
• Offshore structures (floated structures, hydro-dynamic analysis)
• Sustainable infrastructure (advanced material, durability, smart structures)
• Geomechanics in energy (geothermal energy, oil and gas technology)
• Advanced numerical modelling and testing in geomechanics (multi-phase and multi-scale modelling, advanced geomaterials, multi-physics phenomena)
• Geomechanics in sustainable engineering (climate change effects on infrastructure, CO2 sequestration, mining technology, bio-geotechnology)
• Transport mobility engineering

Successful candidates will be expected to initiate independent, creative research programs as well as actively participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching.

The Benefits
Remuneration packages:
Level B – A$86,306 – A$102,488 pa (includes employer superannuation of 17%)
Level C – A$105,724 – A$121,906 pa (includes employer superannuation of 17%)
Level D – A$127,303 – A$140,243 pa (includes employer superannuation of 17%)

This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
