Eligibility:
The competition is open to all Canadian citizens and non-Canadians who have pursued training in an appropriate scientific discipline and obtained their doctorate (PhD) after December 31, 2010. Nevertheless, applicants who have completed their doctorate at the same institution of learning as the active researcher’s home institution that is supporting their application in the competition are not eligible. A functional understanding of English or French is required. Applicants with medical degrees Medical degree holders who apply must also hold a PhD or an MSc in addition to their MD.

Scholarship Description: Three CAD$150,000 postdoctoral scholarships for three years will be awarded to postdoctoral applicants in biomedical research who will be officially mentored by one of the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Research Center’s “active researchers.” Each scholarship comes with CAD$15,000 seed funding in the first year. Work along with world leaders in clinical and fundamental research in one of our six lines of research in the field of mother, child, and adolescent health: Health Outcomes; Brain Diseases; Musculoskeletal Diseases and Movement Sciences; Viral and Immune Disorders and Cancers; Fetomaternal and Neonatal Pathologies; Metabolic Health. Sainte-Justine University Hospital is the #1 Mother-Child center in Canada and #4 in North America.
