Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Chinese language and/or in Chinese civilization. He/she will also be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Programme, including liaison with partner institutions, and will be expected to contribute to other academic duties including engaging in research, publications and external professional services.

Requirements: Candidates must have (i) a PhD in Chinese, Chinese Studies, or other relevant field; (ii) fluency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese; (iii) fluency in English; (iv) evidence of engagement in research and service to university, the profession and the community.

Teaching experience at university level will be an added advantage. Candidates should indicate in the CV their teaching experience, publications if any, and any additional information indicating their suitability for the position. Applicants with a Masters degree who satisfy the other requirements may be considered at an Assistant Lecturer level.
