Description

The university usually awards up to 150 new MIFRSs each year, with each faculty having a limited number

to award. These scholarships are normally only available to international students commencing a research

higher degree course. MIFRSs are funded by the University of Melbourne. For more information, visit

Duration and Value

Duration: 3.5 years

Extra Details: The MIFRS covers full tuition costs, but not overseas student health care. The scholarships

are for a maximum of 3.5 years for PhD students, and 2 years for master students.

Applicants must have received an unconditional offer of a place in a research higher degree course at the

University of Melbourne. Selection is based on academic merit and research potential. Fee Remission

Scholarships are normally only awarded to commencing international students.
