19 University PhD Studentships in the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
To celebrate the University’s research successes, the University of Hull is offering ten UK/EU PhD Scholarships and nine International PhD fee bursaries in the following broad academic areas of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Applications are sought from suitably-qualified people wishing to pursue research leading to PhD status under the supervision of leading researchers.

Eligible Candidates

Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum of a UK upper second class Honours degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.

Amount Awarded

Each full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship will include fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance (£13,490 in 2010/11, subject to final confirmation) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress.

The International PhD Fee bursaries will cover full tuition fees for full-time overseas students for three years, depending on satisfactory progress.
