CORAL (Centre for Operations Research Applications in Logistics) affiliated with the Department of Business Studies invites applications for a faculty position as professor in Logistics/SCM starting 1st September 2010 or later.
The position and profile of the candidate.
The professor is expected to be a key driver in developing the logistics/SCM field and in bridging existing research activities at the department and to demonstrate commitment to quality graduate and undergraduate teaching, research, and service. We invite applications from scholars interested in the area of logistics and supply chain management with a methodological basis in operations research/management science.

The full professorship is a permanent position involving research, teaching and administrative duties. The amount of work each professor is asked to undertake may vary periodically according to the rules of the institution.
An expert assessment committee will assess all candidates. The expert assessment committee will evaluate as qualified candidates who can demonstrate a documented high level of original scientific production at an international level. The candidate’s ability to undertake research management and other possible administrative posts will also be taken into account. Finally, the candidate is expected to have the qualifications required for undertaking teaching responsibilities. Special contributions to and development of educational and teaching related areas will be considered when assessing the candidate’s teaching related qualifications. It is expected that the applicant is able to teach in English. The expert assessment committee will put emphasis on the research potential of each candidate in the overall assessment.
