Starting Salary: £27,183 – £32,458 per annum depending on qualifications, skills and experience
Fixed-term 4 year full-time contract
We require a motivated and able researcher to work within The IntHEC project, which is 4 year intervention evaluation programme in Tanzania and Niger. The project aims to increase equity, integration and effectiveness of reproductive health services for poor communities in sub-Saharan Africa and will commence in March 2010.
Duties will include development and review of draft protocols and questionnaires, report writing, synthesis and analysis of process and impact data, and in collaboration with project partners, drafting of papers for academic publication.
You should have a first degree in a health related discipline and a post-graduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or an allied discipline. You will have experience of working within the health sector in a research capacity with specific experience relating to reproductive health, STI or HIV interventions in a developing country. It is important you have excellent report writing skills and be able to deliver to deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure. With a willingness to work as an integral and co-operative member of a multi-disciplinary/multinational research team, you will have the confidence to communicate and exercise diplomacy.
