Eligibility:
-The applicant is older than 35 (born before 01/01/1977)
-The applicant has requested two or more Swiss Universities (Ex: ETHZ & EPFL). Applicants must apply for only one University. In the case of multiple applications of the diplomatic representation of the application will be considered.
-The applicant is already in the first year of a masters program to participate in one of the Swiss Universities. People who already tackled in a master program in one of the Swiss universities are not suitable for a Swiss government scholarship (except for the fine arts candidates, conditions see page 4). The diplomatic mission will be to consider these applications.
-The applicant for a Master’s program must have a sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction. The applicant must provide the appropriate language certificates (see section 2.1). If the applicant can not these tests of the diplomatic representation of these applications are considered.
-The applicant is required to attend a supplementary program or catch up with ECTS points, to comply with the University
Scholarship open to international students: Yes
Scholarship Description: The Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), the Swiss Government grants foreign students University scholarships (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology University). These scholarships are based on reciprocity (fixed number of scholarships for each country) or offered as part of a pool (scholarships without fixed distribution by country). They are designed for students who graduated from the university (students) have. These scholarships, applicants may continue their education and to make research in the areas in which the Swiss universities are particularly active. Priority will be given to research scholarships. The scholarships are offered in principle to foreign governments. The need for a pre-selected applications to meet the national body responsible and / or the Swiss diplomatic representation in the student country of origin are presented. The diplomatic mission then forwards the pre-selected applications to the FCS for definitive selection.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Applications for scholarships have to be sent in 3 copies of the national institution / Swiss Embassy or within the time limit, usually by the end of last November. For more information about the exact date you receive from the national agency or by the Swiss Embassy.
